Check your host port and cable specs

The adapters are rated for USB 3.0 speeds up to 5 Gbps, so the host USB-A port must also be USB 3.0 or newer to reach that throughput. All cables and attached devices need to support 5 Gbps transfer, and any extension cable should stay under one metre. If speeds seem low, flip the USB-C plug and reconnect to reset the link.
