SKU CH-0WK5-98GR9

Waterproof CAT6 extension cable with screw-locking RJ45 connectors and flush-mount panel for vehicle dashboards

  • Waterproof and dustproof panel mount protects connections in harsh environments
  • Screw locking mechanism prevents accidental disconnection from vibration
  • CAT6 performance supports gigabit network speeds reliably
  • One metre length suits dashboard or panel installations neatly
  • Flush mount design integrates cleanly into vehicle dashboards or panels

Vehicle Ethernet Extension

This one-metre CAT6 cable adds a waterproof, dustproof RJ45 port to a dashboard or panel. A screw-locking mechanism holds the connection firm under vibration. The male-to-female layout extends an existing network run without splicing. Rated for in-vehicle use but suited to any sealed mounting point.

Ideal for mobile installs

Installers fitting telematics, cameras or diagnostic gear in cars, trucks or boats gain a clean bulkhead port. Builders needing longer runs, higher categories or non-locking connectors should choose a different cable. The fixed one-metre length cannot be adjusted on site.

Panel-mount hardware included

The package supplies the cable with an integrated flange that clips into a standard cut-out. No separate gland, gasket or mounting bracket is required. The flange seals the opening against moisture and debris once seated.

Questions about this item

Does my device need a standard RJ45 port to plug the male end of this cable into?

Yes, the male connector is a standard RJ45 plug that fits any RJ45 jack on a router, switch, PC or other network device.

Will the CAT6 rating of this extension cable limit the speed of my older CAT5e network equipment?

No, CAT6 cable is backward compatible and will run at the maximum speed your CAT5e equipment supports.

How can I verify the screw-locking mechanism is engaged properly after panel mounting the female socket?

The male plug should screw firmly into the mounted female jack and resist pulling out, while the panel mount sits flush against the dashboard or panel surface.
