Bass Preamp with 4-Band EQ
The Darkglass Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 combines a preamp, overdrive and four-band active EQ in one pedal. Bass, low-mids, high-mids and treble controls shape tone precisely. A blend knob mixes clean and overdriven signals. The Grunt switch adds three selectable low-end boost levels for extra weight.
Cabinet Simulation and Connectivity Limits
Cabinet emulation works on the balanced XLR output and the 3.5 mm headphone jack, but not on the main instrument output. Virtual cabinets load via the Micro-USB B port from a computer. The aux input sums an external player with your signal but has no dedicated level control.
Power and Signal Chain Checks
Verify you can supply the required DC voltage and polarity before ordering. Ensure your amp or interface accepts a balanced XLR line-level signal if you plan to use the DI output. Confirm you have a USB cable and computer access to manage impulse responses.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the version with the Micro-USB B port or the one without it?
This unit includes a Micro-USB B port for connecting to a PC or Mac to load custom cabinet impulse responses; there is no alternative version listed without it.
What does the 4-band active EQ actually control when I am playing live?
The EQ provides independent bass, low-mid, high-mid and treble knobs for shaping your tone before the balanced XLR output or headphone jack.
What does the Micro-USB B port let me do in practice?
It connects the pedal to a computer so you can load your own cabinet simulation impulse responses for the XLR and headphone outputs.
