The LORDWORLD I226-V adds a 10/100/1000/2500Mbps RJ45 port through a PCI Express slot. It uses the 1226-V chip and is supported only on Windows 10 and 11. The card shares a driver set with the I225 controller for simplified installation.
Upgrade from 1GbE when 2.5GbE infrastructure exists
This adapter replaces a standard gigabit connection when a 2.5GbE switch or router is already deployed. The jump is not worthwhile if the network backbone remains at 1Gbps or if an operating system other than Windows 10 or 11 is required.
