USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 M.2 Enclosure

The LORDWORLD adapter connects M.2 NVMe and SATA SSDs to a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port. It supports drives up to 4 TB in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. A toolless, one-click latch secures the SSD without screws. The aluminium shell and thermal pad dissipate heat during sustained transfers.

NVMe 10 Gbps and SATA 5 Gbps limits

With an NVMe drive the enclosure reaches 10 Gbps and up to 1000 MB/s read and write. With a SATA drive the link runs at 5 Gbps and up to 450 MB/s. UASP and TRIM are supported on both protocols. The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 interface caps NVMe performance at the stated figures.

Drive keying and capacity ceiling

The slot accepts M-key, B+M-key NVMe and B+M-key SATA SSDs only. Drives larger than 4 TB are not supported. Builders needing PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 speeds, or capacities above 4 TB, must choose a different enclosure.
