LORDWORLD Mini PCI-E to Slimline SFF-8654 SATA 3.0 4-Port Adapter 6.0Gbps

Mini PCI-E to SFF-8654 adapter

This adapter converts a Mini PCI Express slot into four SATA 3.0 ports using a Slimline SFF-8654 connector. It supports transfer rates of 6.0, 3.0 and 1.5 Gbps for connecting SSDs as system disks. The card includes error reporting, recovery, correction and NCQ for stable performance under load. It also supports partial and sleep power management states.

For adding SATA drives via Mini PCI-E

Suitable for builders who need to add up to four SATA SSDs through an available Mini PCI-E slot. The adapter handles Gen1i, Gen1x, Gen2i, Gen2m, Gen2x and Gen3i signalling. It will not work with any PCI-E or SAS device, so buyers requiring SAS connectivity should choose a different product. The necessary Slimline to SATA cables are not included.

Slimline SFF-8654 4x connector

The single specification that decides compatibility is the Slimline SFF-8654 4x connector on the card. Your chassis or backplane must accept this exact internal small form factor interface to attach the four SATA cables. Without that physical match, the adapter cannot be used regardless of the Mini PCI-E slot availability.
