Compatibility

This adapter fits only the 2022 and 2023 ThinkBook 16+ laptops equipped with the AMD 8845 processor. It does not work with 14-inch models or any other laptop. The card adds a single SFF-8612 Oculink port to the system.

Signal limits

The board carries PCI Express 4.0 across four lanes using the NVMe protocol. Bandwidth is therefore limited to the x4 electrical width of the M.2 slot. Longer or lower-quality Oculink cables may reduce link stability.

Installation notes

The M.2 M-key end plugs into the laptop's internal slot; an external Oculink cable and separate power for the GPU or SSD are required but not included. Builders who need more than one external device or who own a different laptop model cannot use this adapter.
