USB 3.0 4-Port Switch for Two Computers

This USB 3.0 sharing switch lets two computers share up to four peripherals such as printers, scanners, keyboards, mice or external drives. It operates at up to 5Gb/s and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. The unit is bus powered and includes a micro USB port for optional supplemental power. A push button with LED indicators toggles the active computer.

Suited for dual-PC desk setups.

Home or small-office users with two PCs or Macs can share a printer, scanner and input devices without unplugging cables or configuring network sharing software. The switch requires no driver installation and works immediately on supported operating systems. It is not designed for environments needing more than two connected hosts or for rackmount installations.

One-button switching with LED status

A single button on the top panel switches all four downstream ports between the two upstream computers instantly. LED lights show which computer currently controls the peripherals. This manual switching method avoids software latency and works even during BIOS or boot phases.

Questions about this item

Will the button or LED indicators on the 30768 switch need replacement after extended use?

The single upstream 3.0 link to the selected computer shares its 5 Gb/s bandwidth across every connected device.

Does the 30768 generate noticeable heat or fan noise when running all day?

The unit is passively cooled and bus-powered, so it produces minimal heat and no fan noise during continuous operation.
