U.2 to M.2 Adapter for 2.5-inch Bay Replacement
This LORDWORLD adapter converts a U.2 SFF-8639 interface into dual M.2 NGFF slots. It accepts M-key modules in 2280, 2260, 2242 and 2230 lengths using SATA or PCIe signalling. The board fits internally via a 68-pin U.2 connector and supports double-sided SSDs. Compatible systems include Windows 10 and Linux Kernel 3.16.
Suits Builders Reusing Enterprise U.2 Slots
Ideal for upgrading servers or workstations that expose a U.2 port but lack native M.2 sockets. It lets you install consumer M.2 drives as direct 2.5-inch HDD replacements. Not suited for systems without a free U.2 SFF-8639 interface or for M-key NVMe drives requiring x4 PCIe lanes beyond the adapter wiring.
Dual-Slot Design Covers SATA and PCIe M.2 Drives
The bundled dual 67-pin M.2 slots handle both SATA and PCIe M-key modules without extra cables. This flexibility means a single adapter covers 750, p3600 and p3700 class replacements. No additional brackets, screws or driver discs are included in the package.

Questions about this item
My motherboard has a U.2 SFF-8639 port — what M.2 SSD sizes and key types does this adapter accept?
The dual 67-pin M.2 slots support 2280, 2260, 2242 and 2230 modules with key B or key B+M for SATA or PCIe operation. Double-sided modules are also supported.
I plan to keep my Intel SSD 750 / P3600 / P3700 drives — will they work through this adapter?
The adapter is designed as a direct replacement for those U.2 drives, so an M.2 PCIe or SATA SSD installed in the converter will occupy the same 68-pin U.2 interface the 750, P3600 and P3700 use.
After fitting an M.2 drive into the adapter and connecting it to the U.2 port, how can I confirm the system sees it correctly?
Boot into Windows 10 or a Linux kernel 3.16 or newer; the drive should appear in Disk Management or lsblk as a standard NVME or SATA block device with the expected capacity.
