The Lorell 41294 is a freestanding steel bookcase finished in black powder coat. It stands 82 inches high, 34.5 inches wide and 13 inches deep. The unit ships fully assembled and meets ANSI/BIFMA shelf standards. Each shelf supports up to 200 lb.

Suits buyers needing tall, ready-to-use shelving

The fixed bottom shelf and four adjustable shelves provide flexible organisation for binders, files or supplies. Buyers who need wall-mounted units, lockable doors or a narrower footprint should consider other designs.

200 lb. capacity per shelf

Every shelf is rated for 200 lb., so the total load the bookcase can carry depends on how many shelves are used and how weight is distributed. This figure determines whether the unit meets your storage requirements.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the shelves are locked at the correct 1-inch increments after loading books?

Each adjustable shelf rests on welded clips that click into the 1-inch spaced holes; press down firmly until the shelf sits level and does not rock.

The bookcase arrives fully assembled, so what additional hardware or tools are needed before use?

No extra hardware or tools are required; the unit ships as a single welded frame with two fixed and four adjustable shelves already installed.

Should I choose the 34.5-inch wide model or a narrower version for a 200 lb per shelf load?

This 34.5-inch wide unit is the only width offered for model 41294 and each shelf supports 200 lb.
