Clear floor protection for low-pile carpet

This transparent mat covers 36 by 48 inches with a 19 by 10 inch lip to shield the area under a desk chair. The vinyl surface resists everyday wear and the gripper backing holds the mat steady on carpet fibres up to three-eighths of an inch thick. Model 69157 is sold as a single unit.

Desks on low-pile carpet only

The gripper backing is made for low-pile carpet and will not grip hard floors or thicker pile effectively. Buyers with hardwood, tile or high-pile carpet should look at a different mat style. Anyone needing a larger covered area will also need another size.

Vinyl construction with roll-formed edge

The mat is made from clear vinyl with a roll-formed edge that resists curling and cracking. This material choice determines durability and how the mat feels under chair casters.

Questions about this item

Does the vinyl mat stay flat and quiet when a chair rolls over it all day?

The vinyl construction with a roll-formed edge resists curling, and the gripper back keeps the mat anchored so rolling noise stays minimal on low-pile carpet.

What carpet depth is required for the 19 by 10 inch lip to grip properly?

The mat is designed for low-pile carpets up to 3/8 inch thick; the gripper back holds on standard commercial and home low-pile styles.

Will the 36 by 48 inch clear mat protect the carpet under a heavier executive chair with a five-star base?

Yes, the vinyl sheet distributes caster weight across the full 36 by 48 inch surface, preventing indentations on low-pile carpet.
