Mahogany Rectangular Return Shell

This 42 by 24 inch mahogany return shell completes an L-shaped workstation when paired with a matching desk. High-quality laminate construction with a 1 inch thick top and metal-to-metal cam-lock connections provides a stable work surface for daily office tasks.

Builders creating L-shaped layouts

Designed specifically for L-shape configurations with predrilled holes and metal inserts for secure attachment to a main desk. Buyers needing a freestanding desk or a return with integrated storage such as drawers or cabinets should consider other options.

Two grommet holes for cord routing

The worksurface includes two grommet holes that allow cables to pass through cleanly, keeping the desktop clear for monitors and paperwork. Without this feature cords would have to drape over the rear edge.

Questions about this item

What existing desk depth does the 24-inch return shell match for an L-shape?

The return is 24 inches deep, so it aligns with a 24-inch deep main desk to form a flush L-configuration.

Will the cam-lock connections and predrilled inserts accept my current Lorell main desk hardware?

Metal-to-metal cam-locks and predrilled inserts are standard on Lorell Essentials, letting this return bolt directly to a matching main desk.

How do I confirm the return shell is level once assembled?

Adjust the floor guides at each corner until the 1-inch thick laminate top sits even with the adjoining desk surface.
