The Lorell LLR97618 desk measures 47 by 23.5 by 30 inches and belongs to the SOHO Collection designed for small or home offices. A charcoal laminate top with PVC edgebanding pairs with a powder-coated steel sled base and leveling feet for stability. One centre drawer provides basic storage for everyday essentials.

Upgrade from Makeshift Surfaces

This desk replaces temporary tables or undersized writing surfaces that lack dedicated storage and a rigid frame. The jump is worth it when you need a permanent workstation that meets BIFMA standards for safety and durability in a professional setting.

Check Room Footprint and Assembly Access

Verify that the 47-inch width and 23.5-inch depth fit your available floor area with enough clearance for the sled base and drawer operation. Ensure you have a clear path to bring the box into the room and space to assemble the steel frame and laminate top.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 47 x 23.5 in. desktop and sled base require?

The desk footprint measures 47 inches wide by 23.5 inches deep, so allow at least that much clear floor area plus room for the center drawer to open fully.

What is the correct order for attaching the powder-coated steel sled base to the laminate top?

Fasten the supplied brackets to the underside of the top first, then lower the sled base onto them and secure; tightening the base before the brackets are seated is the common misstep.

How do I keep the leveling feet guides working smoothly on uneven floors?

Wipe dust from the foot threads monthly and turn each guide a quarter-turn to prevent seizing; the PVC edgebanding only needs a damp cloth for cleaning.
