15.6" FHD 120 Hz replacement panel

This new 15.6 inch panel delivers a 1920x1080 resolution at 120 Hz with a 40-pin connector. It offers 250 cd/m² brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 89-degree viewing angles. The matte finish shows 262K colours covering 45% NTSC. It is built as a direct swap for the LM156LFGL01 part number.

Who this suits and who it does not

Repair technicians and DIY owners replacing a cracked or dim LM156LFGL01 screen will find the correct fit. Buyers who need a touchscreen layer, a higher colour gamut or a different refresh rate should look elsewhere. Laptops that use a 30-pin or 50-pin connector cannot accept this panel.

The deciding specification

The 40-pin connector is the single detail that determines compatibility. If the original screen uses a different pin count the panel will not connect. Verify the part number on the old display before ordering.

Questions about this item

Will the 40-pin connector need to be replaced during the screen's lifespan?

The 40-pin connector is a fixed part of the panel assembly and is not designed as a serviceable or replaceable component.

What limits continuous operation at the 120Hz refresh rate?

The panel is rated for 120Hz operation; sustained use at this rate stays within the specified refresh capability.

How much heat does the 250 cd/m² backlight produce during all-day use?

The 250 cd/m² brightness level is typical for this panel class; heat output is managed by the laptop's existing thermal design.
