Precise 40-pin QHD replacement

This 15.6-inch LP156QHG-SPT2 panel is a new replacement screen built for laptops that require a 40-pin Quad HD display. It targets repair technicians and owners restoring a damaged or dim panel to original specification. The screen arrives without touch functionality and matches the exact model number cited in the service manual.

Steady 165 Hz output at 300 nits

Under sustained use the panel maintains its 165 Hz refresh rate with a typical brightness of 300 cd/m² and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Colour volume covers 100% DCI-P3 at 16.7 million colours, so extended gaming or colour-critical sessions stay consistent without the dimming or ghosting that appears on lower-spec substitutes.

Slim 40-pin ribbon and wide viewing cone

The 40-pin connector aligns with the original cable routing, avoiding adapter boards that add thickness or reliability risk. Viewing angles of 80 degrees in all four directions keep colour and contrast stable when the laptop is shared or tilted. Buyers needing touch input or a different pin count should verify compatibility before ordering.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 15.6" 165 Hz panel draw when running all day?

The screen is specified at 300 cd/m² brightness with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, figures that indicate typical laptop-panel power levels.

Which connector must my laptop already have for this 40-pin QHD display to work?

Your laptop must provide a 40-pin eDP interface; the screen ships without touch and relies on that single connector.

Will the 2560×1440 165 Hz panel drive correctly from an older GPU that only targets 60 Hz?

The panel supports 165 Hz refresh, but will also operate at lower rates such as 60 Hz if the source device negotiates them.
