16" WQXGA 144 Hz replacement panel

The LPScreen LP160WQ2-SPF1 is a new 16-inch laptop display with a 2560x1600 WQXGA resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It uses a 40-pin connector and delivers 400 cd/m² brightness with a 1500:1 contrast ratio. The panel reproduces 16.7 million colours and offers 85-degree viewing angles in all directions. It is built as a direct replacement for the LP160WQ2-SPF1 model.

Suits owners of a compatible 16" WQXGA 144 Hz laptop

This screen fits devices that originally shipped with the LP160WQ2-SPF1 part number and require a 40-pin non-touch panel. Buyers who need touch input or a different connector layout should look elsewhere. The fixed specifications mean it cannot serve laptops with lower or higher native resolutions, alternative refresh rates or differing pin counts. Verify the exact part number before ordering to avoid mismatches.

Steady output during extended sessions

The 400 cd/m² backlight and 1500:1 contrast ratio are maintained under continuous operation, so colour balance and black levels remain stable during long work or gaming periods. A 144 Hz refresh rate sustains smooth motion without frame drops when the GPU can feed it consistently. Wide 85-degree viewing angles keep image quality uniform even when the laptop is repositioned over hours of use.

Questions about this item

Does my laptop need a 40-pin eDP connector to use this LP160WQ2-SPF1 panel?

Yes, this screen uses a 40-pin connector, so the laptop must provide a matching 40-pin eDP interface for the display to work.

Will this 144Hz WQXGA screen run at its native 2560x1600 resolution if my current laptop only drives 60Hz panels?

The panel supports 144Hz at 2560x1600, but the actual refresh rate depends on the laptop’s graphics output; it will still display at the native resolution even if limited to 60Hz by the system.

How can I confirm the screen is delivering the specified 400 cd/m² brightness and 1500:1 contrast after installation?

Display a full-white test pattern and measure luminance with a colorimeter — it should read near 400 cd/m² — then check a black-to-white step pattern for a contrast ratio around 1500:1.
