Practical limits of singlemode duplex LC interfaces

Singlemode fibre supports much longer reaches than multimode, but the actual distance depends on the transceiver optics and link budget, not on the patch cable alone. The LC duplex connector provides two fibres in a compact footprint, yet dense panels can make individual cable extraction awkward. Insertion loss and return loss meet IEC specifications, so the cable itself will not be the limiting factor in a correctly designed link.

Replaces older jumpers or extends existing runs
