6 ft 16 AWG indoor outdoor power extension cord

The LUCKY TL 16AWG extension cord extends a mains outlet by six feet for small appliances, DIY tools, TVs, audio gear and lamps. It carries a 13 A, 125 V rating for up to 1625 W and uses a male NEMA 5-15P plug with a female NEMA 5-15R socket. The cord is UL listed and built for indoor or outdoor use.

Pure copper conductors and UV resistant PVC jacket

Three pure copper cores carry the rated current while the PVC sheath resists ultraviolet exposure, wear and water ingress. The flat plug pins have a corrosion resistant metal coating and the cable survives a 50 kg crush test. A VW-1 fire rating and 1500 W high voltage test back the safety claims.

Curved flat plug fits behind furniture

The low profile curved head slides behind sofas or cabinets without snagging. Reinforced strain relief at the plug to cable joint withstands more than 20 000 bend cycles. Flexible PVC keeps the cord supple for easy coiling and storage. Not suited for buyers who need a longer reach or a higher amperage circuit.

Questions about this item

Will the plug ends on this LUCKY TL 16AWG cord need replacing after repeated use?

The reinforced connection is tested to withstand more than 20,000 bend cycles, so the plug ends should not need replacement under normal handling.

What limits continuous use of this 13-amp extension cord before it overheats?

The cord is rated for 13 amps at 125 volts (1625 watts) and carries a VW-1 fire-resistance rating; exceeding that load is the first limit under sustained use.

How much heat does this 6-foot indoor/outdoor cord generate when running all day at full load?

At the full 1625-watt rating the conductors will warm within the -40°F to 200°F operating range, but the PVC jacket and VW-1 rating are designed to handle that heat safely.
