Two-Pack Green Cat 5e for Home and Outdoor Runs

This two-pack supplies two five-foot Cat 5e patch cables in green, each terminated with gold-plated RJ45 connectors and snagless boots. The 100 percent bare copper conductors support gigabit speeds up to 1 Gbps and a tested bandwidth of 350 MHz. The PVC jacket is rated for UV resistance and direct burial, so the same cable works indoors or outdoors.

Replaces Older Cat 5 or Damaged Patch Leads

Swapping a legacy Cat 5 cable or a worn patch cord for this shielded Cat 5e link restores the full 1 Gbps headroom on a 100-meter run. The upgrade is worth it when a connection drops to 100 Mbps because of crosstalk, corrosion on unplated contacts, or a cracked clip that the snagless boot prevents.

Fits Any RJ45 Port Without Extra Hardware

Each end plugs straight into routers, switches, gaming consoles, printers, CCTV recorders or smart TVs — no adapters, keystones or tools required. The flexible PVC jacket routes cleanly through walls, conduit or cable trays, freeing up space in tight cabinets while the bare copper cores keep latency low for gaming and streaming.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the snagless boot need on a 5 ft Cat 5e patch cable?

The snagless boot adds a small lip around the RJ45 clip; allow roughly 10 mm extra depth behind the port so the boot seats fully without bending the latch.

Which step is most often missed when terminating the gold-plated RJ45 ends on this shielded Cat 5e cable?

Buyers sometimes skip grounding the drain wire to the metal shell, leaving the shield floating and reducing noise rejection.

How often should the PVC jacket on a direct-burial Cat 5e cable be inspected for UV damage?

Check the green jacket annually; PVC resists sunlight but prolonged exposure can embrittle it after several seasons.
