Six-Pack Cat 6 Short Cables

This pack contains six Lumenzi Cat 6 Ethernet patch cables, each one foot long and terminated with gold-plated RJ45 connectors. The yellow PVC jackets are UV-resistant and waterproof, so the cables work indoors or outdoors including direct burial. Each cable uses 100 per cent bare copper conductors and a snagless boot to protect the clip.

Upgrade From Cat 5e Or Older Patch Cords

Moving to these cables raises the tested bandwidth to 550 MHz and supports 10 Gbps speeds over runs up to 55 metres. The pure copper cores and shielded construction reduce signal loss compared with copper-clad aluminium alternatives. The jump is worth it when you need reliable gigabit or multi-gigabit links for gaming consoles, streaming boxes or CCTV cameras.

Ideal For Tight Indoor Or Outdoor Runs

Builders wiring rack patches, console-to-router links or short outdoor camera feeds will appreciate the flexible one-foot length and rugged jacket. Buyers who need longer individual cables or higher category ratings such as Cat 6a should look at other options.

Questions about this item

What length and connector type do I need to patch a nearby router or switch?

Each cable is 1 FT long and terminated with gold-plated RJ45 connectors on both ends, so it fits directly into standard Ethernet ports on routers, switches, consoles or PCs.

How do I avoid damaging the snagless boot when plugging the cable into a tight port?

Press the tab gently while inserting the RJ45 plug; the snagless boot protects the clip, but forcing it at an angle can still bend the latch.

Will the PVC jacket and bare copper conductors need replacement if the cable is buried outdoors?

The cable is UV-resistant, waterproof and rated for direct burial, so the PVC jacket and 100% bare copper conductors are designed to last without scheduled replacement.
