SDI to HDMI conversion for broadcast gear

The LUOM converter takes a serial-digital interface feed from cameras, switchers or CCTV systems and turns it into an HDMI signal for monitors, recorders or streaming encoders. It accepts SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI standards with automatic format detection, so no manual switching is required. The box is unidirectional — it cannot send HDMI back to SDI — and it does not handle RF, CVBS, AHD, TVI or CVI over BNC.

Handles 1080p at 60 Hz with loop-through headroom

Input resolutions include 480i, 567i, 720p at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz, 1080i at 50 and 60 Hz, and 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz. The HDMI output mirrors those timings up to 1080p at 60 Hz, while the SDI loop-out passes the original stream at up to 2.97 Gbps for a second SDI display or downstream device. Cascading multiple units is possible but not recommended.

One-way SDI-to-HDMI path with re-clocked loop-out

The decisive spec is the single-direction architecture: the converter only moves signal from the SDI input to the HDMI output and the SDI loop-out. Any workflow that needs HDMI-to-SDI conversion, bi-directional routing or support for analogue BNC formats will require a different device.
