Connects Mini DisplayPort devices to DisplayPort displays with 80Gbps bandwidth for 16K@60Hz, 8K@120Hz, or 4K@240Hz video
This LUOM cable links a Mini DisplayPort 2.1 source to a full-size DisplayPort 2.1 display over a 10 ft run. It supports bi-directional signal flow, so the same lead works whether the Mini DP socket sits on the computer or on the monitor. The construction uses gold-plated contacts, copper conductors, triple-layer shielding and a nylon braided jacket for durable, interference-free transmission.
The cable carries up to 80 Gbps bandwidth, enabling 16K at 60 Hz, 8K at 120 Hz and 4K at 240 Hz, plus HDR10, Dolby Vision and 10-bit deep colour. It replaces older HBR3 or DP 1.4 links that top out at 32.4 Gbps and lower refresh ceilings. The jump is worthwhile when your display and GPU both implement DisplayPort 2.1 and you need the higher pixel rates for gaming or creative work.
Verify that the source device provides a Mini DisplayPort 2.1 output with DP Alternate Mode support, or a Thunderbolt 2 port that carries DisplayPort signalling. Confirm the display accepts a standard DisplayPort 2.1 input. Ensure the 10 ft length fits your desk routing without sharp bends. The cable is not suited for setups that require a Mini DP connection on both ends or a full-size DP connection on both ends.

The compact aluminium shell measures 8.19 x 3.7 x 0.63 inches, leaving enough clearance for adjacent USB-C or Thunderbolt ports on most MacBook Pro models.
Either end can be connected first because the cable is fully bi-directional; just ensure the Mini DisplayPort 2.1 plug goes into the source or sink with a Mini DP socket and the full-size DisplayPort 2.1 plug into the matching port.
Wipe the gold-plated pins with a dry lint-free cloth only if dust builds up; the corrosion-resistant plating and triple-layer shielding are designed to maintain 80Gbps signal integrity without routine maintenance.
