Connects an HDMI source to a DisplayPort monitor at up to 4K 60 Hz with USB power
This LUOM adapter converts an HDMI 2.0 source signal to a DisplayPort 1.4 input on a monitor. It supports resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz, plus 1080p at 120 Hz and 2K at 60 Hz. The unit draws power from a USB Type-A port and includes an 8-inch HDMI pigtail with a 3-foot USB lead. A separate DisplayPort cable is required to complete the link.
Builders connecting a laptop, desktop or console with HDMI output to a DisplayPort-only display will find this converter useful. It is not suitable for users who need the opposite signal direction, because the device only passes video from HDMI to DisplayPort. Buyers whose console is a PS5 should note that 2K output is not supported, and Xbox consoles may not achieve 60 Hz at 4K.
The critical detail is the uni-directional HDMI 2.0 to DisplayPort 1.4 conversion with a maximum supported mode of 3840x2160 at 60 Hz. If your source exceeds that bandwidth or you require bidirectional operation, this adapter will not meet the requirement.

The adapter draws power from a standard USB-A male connector; if the cable frays or the port wears out, a replacement USB-A cable can be used.
The adapter supports 4K at 60 Hz and 1080p at 120 Hz; sustained 1440p at 144 Hz may not be supported.
The unit has no fan and draws low power via USB, so it runs silently with only slight warmth during continuous operation.
