Connects an HDMI 2.0 source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display at 4K 60 Hz with USB power
This active converter connects an HDMI 2.0 source such as a PC, laptop, PS4 or Xbox One to a DisplayPort 1.4 monitor. It supports 4K at 60 Hz and 1080p at 120 Hz, with audio pass-through. A USB-A plug supplies the power needed for signal conversion, and a separate DisplayPort cable is required to complete the link.
It suits users who need to drive a DisplayPort screen from an HDMI output only. It will not work in reverse, so builders wanting to connect a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display should look elsewhere. The adapter does not support 1440p at 144 Hz, and 2K output on PS5 is not supported, while Xbox consoles may not achieve 60 Hz at 4K.
The single specification that decides fit is the mandatory USB-A power connection. Without an available USB port or a 5 V supply the adapter cannot convert the HDMI 2.0 signal to DisplayPort 1.4, so verify you can provide that power before purchasing.
