8K DisplayPort to HDMI adapter
This passive adapter converts a DisplayPort 1.4 source to an HDMI 2.1 display. It suits owners of laptops, desktops or discrete GPUs who need to connect an 8K or high-refresh 4K monitor, projector or VR headset. It is not for users who require a multi-port hub or a bi-directional cable.
Resolution headroom up to 7680x4320
The adapter delivers 8K at 30 Hz and drops back to 4K at 120 Hz for smoother motion. Bandwidth is sufficient for video streaming and gaming at those rates. It cannot drive 8K at higher refresh rates or support resolutions beyond the stated limits.
Uni-directional passive coupler
The compact plug-and-play design carries both audio and video without external power. A DisplayPort male end connects the host while an HDMI female port accepts the display cable. It will not function when inserted into a hub or used in the reverse direction.

Questions about this item
Will the DP 1.4 side work with my existing GPU that only has DisplayPort 1.2?
The adapter requires a DisplayPort 1.4 source to reach 8K 30Hz or 4K 120Hz; a DP 1.2 port will fall back to its own maximum resolution and refresh rate.
How can I confirm the adapter is passing 8K 30Hz or 4K 120Hz to my display?
Open your OS display settings or the monitor on-screen menu; they will show the active resolution and refresh rate negotiated over the link.
Does the package include an HDMI cable or do I need to supply one?
Only the adapter is supplied; you must provide an HDMI cable that matches the resolution and refresh rate you want.
