Connects a DisplayPort computer to an HDMI monitor with 1080p video and 7.1 audio
This adapter links a computer with a DisplayPort output to a monitor or TV that accepts HDMI. It supports PC resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and HDTV resolutions up to 1080p for business, home entertainment or conference room use.
The unit converts DisplayPort signals to HDMI only; it cannot send an HDMI source to a DisplayPort screen. A latching 20 pin DisplayPort male plug secures the host connection while a 19 pin HDMI female port requires a separate HDMI cable to reach the display.
The adapter handles PC graphics at 1920 x 1200 and HDTV formats including 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 576i, 480p and 480i. Buyers needing 4K, higher refresh rates or HDR must choose a different converter.

The single version sold supports PC resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and HDTV resolutions up to 1080p, so one unit covers both targets.
It means the adapter can pass a 1080p HDTV signal or a 1920 x 1200 PC signal from a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display without scaling.
It uses a latching 20 pin DisplayPort male input and a 19 pin HDMI female output, capping video at 1080p or 1920 x 1200 and audio at 7.1 channel surround.
