Active DVI-D to VGA Converter

This active converter connects a DVI-D 24+1 male source to a VGA female display. It supports HDTV resolutions up to 1080p at 60Hz and PC graphics up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz. The 9.84 inch cable uses quad-shielded construction with a PVC jacket. No driver installation is required for operation.

Suits DVI-D outputs only

The adapter works with desktops and laptops from brands such as Lenovo, Dell, HP and ASUS that provide a DVI-D 24+1 port. It does not carry audio, so a separate audio path is needed. Buyers with DVI-I, HDMI or DisplayPort outputs cannot use this converter. A separate VGA cable is required and is not included in the package.

Plug and play installation

Simply connect the DVI-D male end to the source and attach a VGA cable to the female port. The active circuitry handles signal conversion without software. Common issues include forgetting the required VGA cable, expecting audio transmission, or attempting to connect a DVI-I or dual-link source which this adapter does not support.

Questions about this item

What DVI-D port must my computer have for this 24+1 pin male connector to fit?

Your computer needs a DVI-D output with 24+1 pins; the adapter's male plug matches that exact layout.

Will the 1.65 Gbps bandwidth handle my older 1280 x 1024 @60Hz monitor without scaling issues?

Yes, the converter lists 1280 x 1024 @60Hz among its supported PC resolutions, so the older monitor will display natively.

How can I verify the active conversion is working after I plug in the 9.84 inch adapter and a separate VGA cable?

The display should show a stable image at the chosen resolution up to 1920 x 1200 @60Hz with no driver installation required.
