Portable SATA Drive Adapter

The LUOM E-yield T04 connects any standard 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA hard drive or solid-state drive to a computer through a USB 3.0 port. It includes a 12V 2A power adapter and a USB 3.0 cable so both drive sizes receive sufficient power for operation.

Users Who Need Simple Drive Access

This adapter suits anyone who wants to back up files, recover data or upgrade a notebook drive without installing it internally. Builders who require a multi-bay enclosure, hardware RAID support or a dock that holds more than one drive at a time should look elsewhere.

USB 3.0 Interface with UASP

The single specification that decides fit is the USB 3.0 interface combined with UASP support, which delivers up to 5 Gbps transfer speeds when the host controller also supports UASP. Without a UASP-enabled port the adapter still functions at standard USB 3.0 or 2.0 rates.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 12V 2A adapter draw when a 3.5" drive runs all day?

The included 12V 2A power adapter supplies enough current for continuous 3.5" drive operation; the adapter itself plugs into mains power.

Must I already own a SATA data cable to use this converter?

No — the product includes a 22-pin SATA + power connector cable that mates directly with the drive, so no separate SATA cable is needed.

Will my older SATA 1.5 Gbps hard disk work at its native speed with this USB 3.0 adapter?

Yes — the adapter is backward compatible with SATA 1.5 Gbps and 3.0 Gbps drives, and it also works with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports.
