Practical limits of USB 2.0 and 120W charging

The cable supports USB 2.0 data only, so video output is not possible. Full 120W charging requires a compatible 120W USB Power Delivery charger and a device that accepts 20V at 6A. Without that charger the cable will negotiate a lower power level. The LED display reports power but does not alter the current or voltage supplied.

Check your charger and device before ordering

Verify that your power adapter can deliver 120W over USB Power Delivery and that your Type-C device supports 20V at 6A. If either component is limited to a lower wattage the cable will charge at that lower rate. Remember this cable cannot carry a video signal, so it will not work for external displays or docks needing video.
