What this cable does

The LUOM Essager CGA7A is a USB Type-C charging cable rated for 80W at 7A. It includes a built-in E-marker chip and a smart LED display that shows real-time charging power. The cable supports USB 2.0 data transfer at 480Mbps and does not carry video signals. It is aimed at users who need fast charging for phones, tablets or laptops with a USB-C port.

What to check before ordering

Your power adapter must deliver up to 80W over USB Power Delivery to reach the cable's maximum speed. The host device must accept charging through its USB-C port and support the required voltage profile. The connector on the cable is USB-A on one end and USB-C on the other, so the charger needs a USB-A output. Data transfer is limited to USB 2.0 speeds.

Build quality and daily use

The cable uses a nylon braided exterior and zinc alloy connector shells tested to 36000 bends. An aluminum alloy shell surrounds the USB-C interface. The integrated LED display module adds slight bulk near the USB-C plug but requires no extra power. The 1m length suits desk or bedside charging. This product is not for buyers who need video output or USB 3.0 data rates.

Questions about this item

Does the cable include a power adapter or do I need to supply my own 80 W charger?

The package contains only the USB-A to USB-C cable; an 80 W USB-C Power Delivery charger must be purchased separately to reach the rated speed.

Should I choose the 1 m or 2 m length for fastest charging?

Both lengths support the same 80 W 7 A maximum; pick the shorter 1 m for desk use or the 2 m if you need extra reach.

What does the 80 W figure mean when I plug this into my laptop?

With a compatible 80 W charger the cable can deliver up to 80 W, charging a MacBook Pro 16 to 80 % in roughly 30 minutes and to 90–100 % in about 1.5 hours.
