USB-C cable with 100 W charging

The LUOM Essager XJ is a USB-C to USB-C cable rated for 20 V at 5 A, delivering up to 100 W of power with Quick Charge 4.0 support. It also carries data at 480 Mbps and features a transparent shell that shows the internal circuitry. The 6.6 ft length suits desk or bedside charging for phones, tablets and laptops.

Power and data limits

The cable caps charging at 100 W and data at 480 Mbps, and it does not support video output. Actual charging speed depends on the power source and the device being charged; a phone limited to 40 W will only draw 40 W. The built-in E-mark chip negotiates power automatically to keep the connection within safe limits.

Check your charger and device

Ensure your power adapter can supply the wattage your device requires, because the cable only passes through what the charger provides. Verify that your device uses USB-C for both charging and data, as the cable cannot carry a video signal. The connectors are reinforced for at least 35000 bend cycles, but the cable length is fixed at 6.6 ft.

Questions about this item

This cable is listed as a single 6.6 ft option — is that length practical for desk and bedside use?

At 6.6 ft the cable reaches from a wall outlet to a desk or nightstand without excess slack, and the nylon braid resists tangling during daily routing.

The spec says 100 W at 20 V and 5 A — will my laptop actually draw that much power through this cable?

The cable supports up to 100 W with its built-in E-mark chip, but the laptop, charger and device firmware decide the real draw; a 40 W phone will only pull 40 W.

It mentions USB 2.0 speeds of 480 Mbps — does that limit file transfers or peripheral use?

Data tops out at 480 Mbps, so large file copies are slower than USB 3 cables, and the cable does not carry video signals for external displays.
