What the cable is and who it suits

This LUOM Essager XR cable delivers up to 100W of power over a USB-A to USB-C connection. It comes in a two-pack of 3.3ft black braided cables with gold-plated connectors and a built-in LED power display. The design targets users who need fast charging for phones, tablets and laptops from a standard USB-A port.

Behaviour under sustained load

The integrated E-marker smart chip monitors current and voltage in real time, adjusting output to protect the battery during long charging sessions. A blue LED confirms active power delivery even when the connector is hidden behind furniture or inside a vehicle console. The nylon braid and aluminium alloy shell resist wear from repeated daily use.

What it replaces and when the jump matters

The cable upgrades older USB-A leads that top out at lower wattages or lack a power readout. The step up is worthwhile when you regularly charge a MacBook Pro 16, a Galaxy S20 series phone or an iPad Pro at 100W and want visible confirmation that the link is live. It also serves well as a high-power Android Auto link with 480Mbps data throughput.

Questions about this item

Does the cable or its LED display generate noticeable heat during 100W charging sessions?

The Essager XR cable carries up to 100W at 11V 5A through a zinc-alloy and nylon-braided construction; the integrated LED display draws minimal power and the cable is rated for sustained high-current use without overheating.

What charger must I already own to reach the advertised 100W speed?

You need a USB-A Power Delivery charger capable of 100W output (11V 5A); the cable alone cannot exceed the charger’s maximum rating.

Will the blue LED and 480 Mbps data rate work reliably with a 2016 MacBook Pro USB-A port?

Yes — the cable is listed as compatible with MacBook Pro models from 2016 to 2021, and its 480 Mbps USB 2.0 data rate plus active blue LED function are supported on those USB-A ports.
