Dual-mode gaming mouse

The LUOM F-18 is a right-handed optical gaming mouse that works in both wireless and wired modes. It connects through a 2.4 GHz USB receiver for cable-free play and includes a 1.5 m USB cable for charging and wired use. The integrated rechargeable battery is non-removable and requires no driver installation on supported systems.

2.4 GHz wireless and polling limits

Wireless operation uses a 2.4 GHz dongle rated for up to 30 m range with a selectable report rate of 250 Hz or 500 Hz. Wired mode matches the 500 Hz ceiling. Optical tracking tops out at 3200 DPI across six preset steps from 600 to 3200. Maximum acceleration is specified at 20 G, so very fast swipes may exceed the sensor’s reliable tracking envelope.

Build, grip and daily handling

A palm-and-claw shape with a skin-friendly finish targets right-handed comfort during long sessions. Seven programmable buttons and a single scroll wheel sit within easy reach. The fixed cable adds wired flexibility but cannot be replaced if damaged, and the sealed battery means the mouse must be tethered once the charge runs out.

Questions about this item

Which DPI level should I pick for fast-paced shooters versus strategy games?

The mouse offers six fixed steps — 600, 1000, 1600, 2000, 2400 and 3200 DPI — so you can switch instantly between low sensitivity for precise aiming and higher settings for quick turns.

What does the 3200 DPI maximum actually deliver in-game?

At the top 3200 DPI setting the cursor moves 3200 counts per inch of hand travel, giving very fast screen traversal; the 500 Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes keeps motion smooth without noticeable lag.

How does the 2.4 GHz wireless link perform compared with the 1.5 m USB cable?

The 2.4 GHz dongle runs at the same 500 Hz report rate as the wired connection, so latency and responsiveness are equivalent; the cable simply adds charging while you play.
