Converts an HDMI 2.0 source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display at up to 3840x2160 60 Hz or 1920x1080 144 Hz with 7.1 audio, USB powered
This active adapter converts an HDMI 2.0 source signal to a DisplayPort 1.4 input on a monitor. It supports video resolutions up to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz and 1920x1080 at 120 Hz or 144 Hz. The uni-directional design works only from HDMI source to DisplayPort display.
The adapter draws supplementary power from an included USB cable to maintain a stable active conversion during extended sessions. This helps prevent signal dropouts or handshake failures when driving high refresh rates at 1080p or 4K 60 Hz for long periods. Gold-plated connectors resist oxidation that can degrade conductivity over time.
No driver installation is required for operation on major operating systems. The package includes the adapter and a USB power cable that must be connected to a powered USB port for reliable performance. Forgetting the USB power connection is the most common reason for no signal or intermittent flickering. The adapter does not support DisplayPort to HDMI conversion.

The adapter includes a USB power cable and the manufacturer notes to plug it into a USB port for best performance and compatibility.
The adapter requires an HDMI 2.0 output on the source device; it is not bi-directional and will not accept a DisplayPort signal.
The adapter supports 1920x1080 at 144 Hz and 120 Hz, so a compatible 1080p 144 Hz DisplayPort monitor can run at its native refresh rate.
