HDMI 2.1 Bidirectional Switch

This LUOM HDMI 2.1 switch connects two source devices to one display or one source to two displays in a 2-in-1-out or 1-in-2-out configuration. It supports resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz with 48Gbps bandwidth. The aluminium enclosure uses nickel-plated ports for stable, interference-free transmission. No external power supply is required for operation.

8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz Support

The decisive specification is the maximum video throughput of 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz, plus compatibility with 4K at 144Hz and 165Hz. This ensures compatibility with current consoles and high-refresh-rate monitors. The switch also handles VRR, Dynamic HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and eARC audio pass-through. HDCP 2.3 compliance protects premium content playback.

Ideal for Dual Console Setups

Gamers running a PS5 and Xbox Series X on a single 8K or high-refresh 4K screen can toggle instantly via the front button and LED indicators. Home-theatre users switching a media player and console between a projector and TV will appreciate the bidirectional flexibility. Buyers needing simultaneous output to two displays or automatic switching should consider a matrix or dedicated splitter instead.

Questions about this item

What does 8K@60Hz actually deliver on my screen?

It drives an 8K display at 60 frames per second, or 4K at up to 120, 144 or 165 Hz, and 1080p at 240 Hz, provided the source, cable and monitor all support those modes.

How does the HDMI 2.1 interface limit real-world throughput?

The switch passes the full 48 Gbps bandwidth of HDMI 2.1, so VRR, Dynamic HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDCP 2.3 and eARC all work without compression.

What does the unit need to sit and connect in my setup?

It fits in a palm-sized aluminium case, draws power from the HDMI lines so no adapter is required, and has three HDMI ports — two inputs and one output for the 2-in-1 direction.
