Extracts HDMI audio to optical and RCA outputs while passing 4K@30Hz video to a display
This LUOM converter splits the digital audio from an HDMI source and sends it to both an optical TOSLINK port and analogue RCA stereo jacks. The original video and audio pass through to the HDMI output unchanged. It handles 4K at 30 Hz, 1080p at 50 or 60 Hz and 3D content with deep colour up to 36-bit per channel. A red LED shows power and a green LED confirms a live display connection.
Home-theatre owners who want to feed a soundbar, AV receiver or powered speakers while keeping the picture on a TV or projector will find the three audio modes — Pass, 2CH and 5.1CH — useful. Optical SPDIF carries 5.1-channel Dolby Digital and DTS; RCA carries two-channel PCM only. Buyers who need ARC support, Dolby Digital Plus decoding or audio extraction above 4K 30 Hz should look elsewhere.
Plug the source into the HDMI input and the display into the HDMI output; the extractor draws power from the included USB cable. Standard AWG26 HDMI cables run up to 49 ft without signal loss. The box frees the system from relying on the display’s audio outputs and lets older amplifiers or soundbars join a modern 4K chain.

The unit draws power from the HDMI connection; a red LED lights when power is present and a green LED confirms a valid HDMI link to the display.
Yes — set the switch to 2CH for stereo PCM on RCA, or 5.1CH for Dolby Digital or DTS bitstream on the optical TOSLINK output; the receiver will decode the bitstream normally.
Check that the green LED is lit for video sync, then confirm on the display that 3840x2160@30Hz or 4096x2160@30Hz appears and that your receiver shows PCM 2.0 or Dolby Digital / DTS 5.1 matching the mode switch.
