HDMI to Dual AHD Converter

The LUOM converter translates an HDMI source into two simultaneous AHD outputs for CCTV recorders and monitors. It accepts SD, HD and 3G HDMI formats up to 1080p at 60 Hz and delivers 720p or 1080p at 30 Hz on each BNC port. A front-panel button selects the output resolution. The unit is powered by an included 5 V 1 A adapter and includes ESD protection for reliable installation.

Capacity and headroom

The converter handles common surveillance resolutions including 480i, 576i, 720p at 50 or 60 Hz, 1080i at 50 or 60 Hz and 1080p at 25, 30, 50 or 60 Hz. AHD output is limited to 720p or 1080p at 30 Hz, so higher frame-rate sources are down-converted. The built-in loop-out repeater extends the AHD signal up to 500 metres over coaxial cable, providing headroom for long cable runs in outdoor or multi-camera deployments.

Upgrade path

This adapter replaces a direct HDMI-to-monitor link when the recorder or display only accepts AHD over BNC. It upgrades installations that previously required separate baluns or shorter cable runs by integrating conversion and 500 metre repetition in one box. The jump is worth it when you need to feed an AHD DVR or NVR from an HDMI camera or encoder and must cover distances beyond standard HDMI limits.
