Converts HDMI to RCA composite video and stereo audio at 480i or 576i for PAL and NTSC displays
The LUOM adapter accepts a single HDMI input and produces a composite CVBS video signal plus stereo audio through three RCA connectors. It is designed for users who need to connect modern laptops, set-top boxes or game consoles to older televisions, VHS recorders or DVD recorders that only have analogue inputs. The box supports both PAL and NTSC output standards so it works with equipment sold in different regions. No driver installation is required once the included USB power cable is connected to a 5 V source.
Measuring 67 mm deep, 55 mm wide and 20 mm high, the unit weighs 37 g and fits easily behind a television or inside a media cabinet. It draws power from the supplied USB cable, freeing the HDMI source from having to provide extra current. The converter downscales incoming 1080p material to standard-definition 480i or 576i, allowing legacy displays to show a picture without the need for a separate scaler or capture device. Builders should verify that their source device can output a compatible HDMI signal before purchase.
The bundle provides the USB charging cable needed to power the converter, so no additional power adapter has to be sourced. Plug-and-play operation means the device is ready as soon as the HDMI and RCA cables are seated and the USB lead is connected to a 5 V port. The product is not compatible with streaming sticks such as Fire Stick, Roku or Chromecast, nor with mobile phones, tablets, Apple devices or the Super Nintendo console. Buyers relying on those sources will need a different solution.

The converter outputs standard-definition CVBS at 480i for NTSC or 576i for PAL after scaling the 1080P input down.
It is powered from a 5 V USB source and has no fan, so heat and power draw remain minimal during all-day use.
The source needs an HDMI output and the display needs three RCA inputs (yellow, white, red); a 5 V USB power socket is also required.
