Converts HDMI input to YPbPr video with stereo audio for 1080p 60Hz displays
This LUOM adapter converts a digital HDMI signal into analogue YPbPr component video with stereo R/L audio. It targets users connecting modern sources such as PS3, PS4, TV sticks or DVD players to older televisions, monitors or projectors that only accept component inputs. The unit passes the input resolution through without scaling.
The converter draws power from the included 5 V DC adapter and adds no active cooling, so it runs silently. Power consumption is low enough for the supplied brick, and no driver installation is required on the source device. HDCP 1.2 content at 1080p 60 Hz is supported.
The package provides a 5 V DC power supply and a user manual, removing the need to source a separate adapter. Plug the HDMI source, connect the five RCA cables to the display, attach the power supply and the converter is operational. No software or firmware updates are involved.

Plug the included 5V DC adapter into the converter's power port, then connect the HDMI source to the input and the five RCA cables to the YPbPr display; the step often missed is powering the unit before the HDMI handshake completes.
The external 5V DC supply is the only component that may wear out; if the converter loses sync or the LED dims, swap the adapter for another 5V unit with the same barrel polarity.
It passes 1080p at 60Hz exactly as received, with no scaling, so sustained 1080p60 sources are the practical ceiling before frame-rate conversion would be required.
