SDI Distance and Bit-rate Limits

Each SDI output runs at 2.970 Gbit/s for 3G-SDI 1080p, 1.485 Gbit/s for HD-SDI 720p or 1080i, and lower rates for SD-SDI. The specifications quote maximum cable reaches of 100 metres at 3G-SDI, 200 metres at HD-SDI and 300 metres at SD-SDI. Signal integrity beyond those distances is not guaranteed, and the converter does not regenerate or equalise signals past the stated limits.

One-way HDMI-to-SDI Only
