DisplayPort 2.1 cable for 8K and high-refresh 4K

This ten-foot DisplayPort 2.1 cable carries up to 40 Gbit/s over triple-shielded copper conductors. It connects any DisplayPort 2.1 source to a compatible monitor or TV, making it suitable for gamers and creators who need 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz without signal degradation.

Male-to-male link that fits existing ports

The male-to-male connectors plug directly into standard DisplayPort 2.1 sockets on graphics cards such as GTX 980 or Radeon R9 290 and on monitors from brands including Dell, HP, Acer and Odyssey. Backward compatibility with earlier DisplayPort versions lets the same cable serve older hardware while freeing a port for newer 40 Gbit/s gear.

Handles 8K 60 Hz and 4K 144 Hz.

The cable supports 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz, 4096 x 2160 at 144 Hz and 2560 x 1440 at 240 Hz. With DSC compression it can reach 16K at 30 Hz, but it cannot drive uncompressed 16K or dual 8K 120 Hz streams. For those higher configurations a shorter or active cable would be required.

Questions about this item

How much bandwidth does the 10 ft LUOM LJ-DP16K cable handle at its rated HBR10 speed?

The cable is rated for HBR10 and supports up to 40 Gbit/s bandwidth.

Does the triple-shielded copper construction keep the cable cool and quiet during all-day 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz use?

Passive copper cables generate no noise and produce negligible heat; the triple shielding and solid copper conductors maintain signal integrity without active cooling.

Which DisplayPort versions must my graphics card and monitor already support for this cable to deliver 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz?

Both source and display need DisplayPort 2.1 (or 2.0) ports; the cable is backward compatible with DP 1.4 and 1.2 for lower resolutions.
