Superior Vision with DisplayPort 2.1

This LUOM LJ-DP16K cable carries DisplayPort 2.1 signals at up to 40 Gbit/s over a 3.3 ft run. It connects a DisplayPort 2.1 source to a DisplayPort 2.1 display using male-to-male connectors. The triple-shielded, solid copper construction targets gamers and creators who need 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz without signal degradation.

Upgrade from HBR3 or older DP cables

The jump is worth it when your monitor and GPU both support HBR10 bandwidth and you want 8K 60 Hz 10-bit HDR or 4K 240 Hz with DSC. It also adds Multi-Stream Transport headroom for daisy-chaining two 8K 120 Hz panels. If your hardware tops out at HBR3 or 4K 144 Hz, the extra bandwidth will sit idle.

Capacity and headroom

The cable handles 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz, 5120 x 2880 at 60 Hz, 4096 x 2160 at 240 Hz, and 2560 x 1440 at 240 Hz with DSC compression. It runs out of uncompressed headroom above 40 Gbit/s, so 16K 60 Hz or dual 8K 144 Hz without DSC are not supported. Backwards compatible with DP 2.0 and 1.4 devices.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.3 ft length reach my monitor from a floor-standing PC?

At 3.3 ft the cable spans roughly one metre; measure the straight-line path from GPU port to monitor input and add slack for routing behind furniture before deciding.

Do I need to lock the DisplayPort 2.1 connectors in place during install?

Each male DisplayPort 2.1 plug has a spring latch — push until it clicks, then pull gently to confirm it is seated; skipping the click is the common cause of signal drop-outs.

How often should I replace this triple-shielded copper cable?

The 28 AWG oxygen-free copper and triple shielding are rated for repeated plug cycles; replace only if you see physical damage, connector wear or new flickering that a reseat does not fix.
