What this is

The LUOM OZQ1 is a 3-input, 1-output HDMI switch that routes 4K video at 60 Hz and multi-channel audio from three source devices to a single display. It supports HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, handles 18 Gbps bandwidth, and draws power from the connected sources so no external adapter is needed.

Who this suits

Home-theatre owners with a TV or projector that has only one HDMI port can connect a streaming box, a game console and a Blu-ray player simultaneously and switch between them with the top-mounted button. Buyers who need to send one source to multiple displays, or who require 8K resolution or 48 Gbps bandwidth, should look at a different device.

Deciding specification

The switch passes 4K at 60 Hz (3840 x 2160) with 18 Gbps throughput and HDCP 2.2 compliance; if your sources and display demand higher bandwidth or a different HDCP version, this unit will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

What does 4K@60Hz actually deliver when the switch is connected to my TV?

The switch passes 3840 x 2160 resolution at 60 frames per second with 12-bit deep colour and HDR RGB 4:4:4, so the TV receives the full 18 Gbps signal without compression.

How does the HDMI 2.0 chip and HDCP 2.2 support limit what I can play?

The built-in HDMI 2.0 chips handle up to 18 Gbps bandwidth, while HDCP 2.2 compliance lets protected 4K streams from a TV box, console or Blu-ray player pass through to the display.

What space and cabling do I need to fit the 5.91 x 2.36 x 0.79 inch box?

The unit measures 5.91 by 2.36 by 0.79 inches and includes a 50 cm pigtail cable, so allow roughly 6 inches of width and 2.5 inches of depth plus room for three HDMI leads and the output cable.
