LUOM OZQ9 4×1 HDMI Switch with Audio Extraction

The LUOM OZQ9 is a compact 4×1 HDMI switcher that routes four HDMI sources to one display while extracting audio through optical Toslink, coaxial, 3.5 mm jack and analogue L/R outputs. It supports video up to 4K@60 Hz with 18.5 Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 2.2 compliance. A supplied IR remote and front-panel button allow instant source selection. The unit includes a 5 V/1 A power adapter and measures 5.91 × 2.36 × .79 inches.

Ideal for multi-source home-theatre setups needing

This switch suits owners of soundbars, AV receivers or powered speakers that lack enough HDMI inputs, letting them keep 4K HDR video on the TV while sending Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD or PCM audio to external gear. Buyers who only need simple video switching without audio extraction, or who require more than four inputs, should consider alternative devices.

HDMI 2.0b with 18.5 Gbps bandwidth and ARC

The single specification that decides compatibility is the HDMI 2.0b interface delivering 18.5 Gbps total bandwidth, enabling 4K@60 Hz 4:2:0 and 1080p@120 Hz signals. The HDMI output also carries ARC, so a compatible TV can return audio to the switch’s Toslink or coaxial ports. Verify that every source and the display support HDMI 2.0b or earlier for full functionality.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the LUOM OZQ9 and do I need to buy anything extra?

The package includes the 4×1 HDMI switch, a 5 V/1 A DC power adapter, an IR remote control and a user manual. The remote requires a battery which is not supplied. HDMI cables for the four inputs and the single output are also not included.

The specs list several audio outputs — which one should I use for my soundbar?

Use the HDMI output with ARC, the Toslink optical or the coaxial digital output if your soundbar accepts those formats; all three support audio return. The 3.5 mm jack and stereo RCA outputs only extract audio and do not carry ARC.

The headline says 18.5 Gbps bandwidth — what resolution and refresh rate does that actually deliver on my 4K TV?

At 18.5 Gbps the switch passes 4K at 60 Hz with YUV 4:2:0 colour sampling and HDR. Full 4:4:4 RGB at 4K 60 Hz needs more bandwidth than the link provides, so the source will fall back to 4:2:0 or a lower refresh rate.
