Bidirectional USB-C 8K switch
The LUOM OZU8K connects two USB-C sources to one display or one source to two displays. It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and high refresh rates up to 165 Hz at 1440p. Data moves at 10 Gbps and power delivery reaches 100 W for charging attached devices. Two 8K-rated USB-C cables are included in the box.
Practical limits of the 10 Gbps USB-C interface
Video output above 8K 30 Hz requires an 8K source, an 8K Gen-2 cable and an 8K display. The two connected monitors cannot operate simultaneously; only one displays at a time. A separate micro-USB power connection is mandatory for the switch to pass a video signal. Cable runs should not exceed 60 cm for reliable operation.
What to verify before ordering
Confirm that each source and each display has a USB-C port supporting video and USB 3.1 Gen 2 data. Ensure your cables are rated for 10 Gbps and video transmission, not charging only. Check that your power adapter can supply the micro-USB input needed to run the switch. The unit measures 12 by 6 by 0.08 inches and weighs 1.2 ounces.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the 1 in 2 out or the 2 in 1 out mode for my setup?
The switch handles both. Use 2 in 1 out when two laptops share one monitor, or 1 in 2 out when one laptop toggles between two displays. Only one display is active at a time.
Will I really see 8K at 60 Hz on my screen?
The switch passes 8K at 60 Hz, but the manual notes the connected hardware often limits output to 8K at 30 Hz. You need an 8K source, Gen 2 cables and an 8K display to reach the higher rate.
What does the 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 rating mean for my peripherals?
It caps data traffic at 10 Gbps, so a connected SSD or dock will run at Gen 2 speeds. Slower cables or devices will drop to their own limits, but the switch itself does not throttle below 10 Gbps.
