One cable for power, video and data

The LUOM PQ001 is a USB4 cable that delivers up to 40Gbps bandwidth, 240W power delivery and 8K@60Hz video over a single 3.3ft USB-C to USB-C link. It suits users who want one cable to charge a laptop, drive an external display and move large files at speed. Certified for USB4 Gen 3x2, it also works with Thunderbolt 3 hosts and devices.

Check your ports and charger first

Before ordering, confirm that both ends of your setup have USB-C ports that support the features you need: 40Gbps data requires USB4 Gen 3x2 or Thunderbolt 3, 8K@60Hz or dual 4K@60Hz video needs DP Alt Mode, and 240W charging needs a PD 3.1 EPR charger capable of 48V/5A. The cable is backward compatible with USB 3.2, 3.1 and 2.0, but bandwidth will fall to 20Gbps or lower on those ports.

Fits tight setups and frees desk space

At 3.3ft the braided cable reaches across a compact desk without excess slack, and its male-to-male reversible plugs insert either way up. It replaces separate charging, video and data cables, freeing ports on a dock or laptop. The 240W rating covers current and future laptops, tablets and phones, while 40Gbps bandwidth supports eGPU enclosures and high-resolution monitors without a second cable.

Questions about this item

Does the LUOM PQ001 cable come with any adapters or do I need to buy them separately?

The cable is a single USB-C male to USB-C male braided lead; no adapters or extra accessories are included in the box.

Should I choose this 3.3 ft 40 Gbps model or a shorter 20 Gbps version for my Thunderbolt 3 dock?

Pick the 3.3 ft 40 Gbps cable; it delivers full 40 Gbps bandwidth and 240 W power, while a 20 Gbps version would halve the data rate.

What does the 40 Gbps rating actually give me when I plug this cable into my laptop and monitor?

You can run a single 8K display at 60 Hz or two 4K displays at 60 Hz, and transfer up to 25,000 photos per minute, provided both host and monitor support USB4 Gen 3x2.
