LUOM PQ006 USB4 40 Gbps 240W Cable

This LUOM PQ006 cable delivers USB4 Gen 3x2 performance at 40 Gbps with 240W Power Delivery 3.1 charging. The USB C male-to-male connectors are bi-directional and reversible. It supports 8K@60Hz video output and Thunderbolt 3 compatibility for docks and eGPUs.

Suits users needing maximum speed and power

Creators and professionals requiring 40 Gbps data rates and 240W charging for high-performance laptops will benefit. Buyers whose devices only support USB 3.2 or lower power profiles will not utilise the cable's full Gen 3x2 bandwidth or Extended Power Range capability.

Deciding specification: USB4 Gen 3x2 40 Gbps

The USB4 Gen 3x2 rating determines whether your host and peripheral can exchange data at 40 Gbps. If either end operates at USB 3.2 20 Gbps or below, the link will negotiate down to that lower speed.

Questions about this item

Does the LUOM PQ006 USB4 cable include a power adapter or do I need to buy one separately?

The cable ships alone; a compatible 240W EPR PD 3.1 charger must be purchased separately to reach the 240W maximum.

Should I choose a longer or shorter version of this cable for the full 40Gbps data rate?

The listed 3.3ft length is the only version offered; it supports the full 40Gbps with USB4 Gen 3x2 devices.

What does the 240W rating mean when I plug this cable into my MacBook Pro 16-inch?

With a 240W EPR PD 3.1 charger the cable can deliver 140W to the MacBook Pro 16-inch at full load.
