Converts SD, HD and 3G-SDI signals to HDMI up to 1080P at 60Hz while providing a simultaneous SDI loop-through output at 2.97Gbps
This LUOM converter translates SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals into HDMI for monitors, recorders or streaming encoders. It accepts a single SDI input and provides both an HDMI output and an SDI loop-through, letting the original feed continue to a second SDI display or downstream equipment. The unit is aimed at camera operators, CCTV installers and live-production crews who need to bridge professional SDI gear to consumer or prosumer HDMI screens.
The converter ships with a power adapter and a USB charge cable, so it can be powered from a wall outlet or a compatible USB source on set. One BNC connector handles the SDI input, a second BNC passes the re-clocked SDI loop output, and a standard HDMI socket delivers the converted video. The re-clock function helps maintain signal integrity over longer cable runs, and the compact metal housing resists the knocks of field use.
The device converts SDI to HDMI only; it cannot accept an HDMI source and output SDI. HDMI output reaches 1080P at 60 Hz, while the SDI loop supports data rates up to 2.97 Gbps. Supported input formats include 480i, 567i, 720P at 30, 50 or 60 Hz, and 1080i or 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 Hz. Buyers who need HDMI-to-SDI conversion or resolutions beyond 1080P should look elsewhere.

The SDI input runs up to 2.97Gbps, so 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI signals are accepted and re-clocked for a clean HDMI output up to 1080p@60Hz.
It is a compact inline box with one BNC SDI input, one BNC SDI loop output, one HDMI output and a DC power jack; the included power adapter supplies the required 5V.
Connect the SDI source to the input, the HDMI display to the output, plug in the power adapter, then verify the source resolution matches one of the supported formats such as 1080p@60Hz — the unit auto-detects but will not convert unsupported signals like RF or CVBS.
