LUOM 3G-SDI Converter for Video Pros
The LUOM SDI2HDMI converts SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals to HDMI while keeping an SDI loop output. It is built for camera operators, broadcasters and streaming rigs that need to feed a monitor, projector or recorder from a single BNC source. The unit draws power from a USB DC 5V 1A supply so no external brick is required. It runs on Windows, Android, macOS and Linux without extra drivers.
SDI Signal Limits and Loop Output
The converter accepts 270Mb/s, 1.485Gbps and 2.97Gbps SDI data rates and auto-detects the incoming format. Supported input resolutions include 480i/567i, 720P at 30, 50 or 60Hz, 1080i at 50 or 60Hz and 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60Hz. HDMI output follows the same clock rates up to 1080P 60Hz. The SDI loop out passes the original signal unchanged for daisy-chaining. It does not convert HDMI back to SDI or handle RF, CVBS, AHD, TVI or CVI BNC signals.
1080P Maximum Resolution Constraint
The single specification that decides fit is the 1080P ceiling: the device only supports Full HD up to 1080p and does not support UHD 4K. Buyers who need 4K capture or playback must choose a different converter. The HDMI 1.3 output tops out at 1080P 60Hz with 8-channel 48KHz digital audio. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50°C and storage from -10 to 80°C.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 3G-SDI model or is the HD-SDI version enough for my 1080p60 camera?
The converter handles SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI automatically, so a single unit covers 1080p at 60 Hz without needing a separate model.
What does the 2.97 Gbps SDI rate actually deliver when I connect it to a monitor?
It carries 1080p at 60 Hz with 4:2:2 or 4:4:4 sampling and eight channels of 48 kHz audio to the HDMI output.
The box says HDMI 1.3 — will that limit my 1080p60 signal in any way?
HDMI 1.3 supports 1080p at 60 Hz, so the converter’s maximum output resolution runs at full frame rate without bandwidth reduction.
