50 ft VESA-Certified DP 1.4 Fiber Cable

The LUOM TJ-A013 is a 50 ft DisplayPort 1.4 fiber optic cable certified by VESA for 32.4 Gbps bandwidth. It carries 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 2K at 240 Hz between a graphics card or laptop and a monitor, projector or VR headset. The male-to-male connectors are gold-plated and the cable is backward compatible with DP 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1. It suits builders who need long-distance 8K or high-refresh 4K without signal loss.

Fiber Construction and Shielding

Four optical-fibre cores replace copper for stable high-speed transmission over the full 50 ft length. A single Al-Mylar foil shield blocks electromagnetic interference that can cause flicker or drop-outs. The zinc-alloy shell with piano-paint finish resists cracking, while 24K gold-plated contacts protect the internal transceiver chip. No external power adapter is required; the cable draws what it needs from the DisplayPort source.

Durable Connectors for Daily Use

The male DisplayPort plugs feature latching tabs that hold securely in GPU, laptop or monitor ports during routine cable routing. Gold plating reduces contact oxidation over repeated insertions. The fibre core tolerates tighter bends than thick copper cables, easing installation behind desks or through conduit. Buyers who need a cable shorter than 50 ft or who require DisplayPort 2.0 bandwidth should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Will the 24K gold-plated connectors or the zinc alloy shell need replacement after repeated plugging?

The 24K gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and the zinc alloy shell with piano paint finish prevents cracking, so neither component typically requires replacement under normal use.

At 50 ft, will the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth limit appear before the 8K@60Hz signal degrades?

The 4-core optical fiber maintains the full 32.4 Gbps bandwidth across the 50 ft length, so the bandwidth ceiling is reached only by the source resolution, not by cable attenuation.

Does the fiber construction run hotter or draw more power than copper when driving 4K@144Hz all day?

Optical fiber transmits light instead of electrical current, so the cable itself generates negligible heat and draws no extra power regardless of how long 4K@144Hz runs.
